About DeckForge
DeckForge is a free, data-driven deck statistics site for Duel Commander (Duel), a format of Magic: The Gathering. It analyzes thousands of real Duel decklists to show which cards players actually run with each commander — the most-played staples, inclusion rates, and the cards that are uniquely synergistic with a given commander.
Three formats, one project
DeckForge currently covers three singleton commander formats, each on its own site:
- pdh.deckforge.cards — Pauper Commander (PDH): commons-only, 100-card singleton decks led by an uncommon commander.
- tlr.deckforge.cards — Tiny Leaders: 50-card singleton decks where every card has a mana value of 3 or less.
- duel.deckforge.cards — Duel Commander: the 1v1 tournament variant of Commander, with its own banlist — 100-card singleton decks led by any legendary creature.
Where the data comes from
Card information — names, types, mana costs, color identity, and legality — comes from Scryfall. Decklists are sourced from public decks on Moxfield. The dataset is refreshed weekly, so statistics track the live Duel metagame.
What you can find here
- Commander pages ranking the top cards for each Duel commander by inclusion rate and synergy.
- A searchable card browser with color, type, and functional-tag filters.
- Color-identity breakdowns and average deck composition, all computed from real decks.
For exactly how the numbers are calculated, see the methodology. Only commanders with at least 10 tracked decks get full statistics, so the data shown is backed by a meaningful sample.
